Privacy policy
The short version: you give us your name and email (and, if you like, a phone number) so we can tell you when Buyside launches and invite you to test it. That's all we use them for. We never sell them.
What we collect
- Your name and email address.
- Optional: a phone number, used only to invite you to the beta, and whether you're a student, in finance, a gamer or something else, so we know who Buyside is reaching.
- Your consent: that you ticked the box to get Buyside emails, and when.
- Where you came from: the campaign tags in the link you clicked (such as utm_source), the website that sent you, and a rough device type (iPhone/iPad, Android or desktop).
We don't ask for anything else. The web beta keeps your saved games in your own browser; we don't receive them.
Why
- To email you when Buyside launches and about beta testing.
- To see which posts and ads bring people to the waitlist, so we spend less on the ones that don't.
Where it's kept
Signups are stored in a database run by Supabase, our database provider. Only the Buyside team can read it. The site is hosted on Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel and Supabase may keep short-lived server logs (such as IP addresses) for security and debugging.
We never sell it
We don't sell, rent or trade your details, and we don't share them with anyone else for their marketing.
How long we keep it
Until Buyside has launched and the beta is over, or until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, whichever comes first.
Unsubscribe or delete your data
Every email we send has an unsubscribe link. To have your signup deleted, or to see what we hold about you, email [contact email not set yet] from the address you signed up with. We'll take care of it within 30 days.
Ad pixels
We may turn on the Meta Pixel or the TikTok Pixel to measure our ads. They only load if we switch them on. When on, they tell Meta or TikTok that someone visited this page and joined the waitlist (not your email), and they may set cookies under their own privacy policies.
Right now: Off. No ad pixels load on this site right now.
Children
The waitlist is not meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their emails. If you think a child has signed up, write to us and we'll delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update it here and change the date at the top.
